Nonprofits Assistance Fund would like to congratulate Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF), winners of the inaugural Social Entrepreneur's Cup. This award is a collaboration between Social Venture Partners Minnesota and The Minnesota Cup and recognizes innovative and effective social entrepreneurs and the nonprofits they lead. It was handed out at the Engaged Philanthropy conference on June 5th. Nonprofits Assistance Fund Executive Director Kate Barr was honored to served as a judge for this competition. She reflected on the experience saying, "The process itself was very interesting, especially working with the other judges who had a great combination of experiences and perspectives. The applicants demonstrate that the nonprofit community in Minnesota has an exciting future. I look forward to seeing what they do next."

Started in a dorm room in 2003, STLF's mission is to develop young people's leadership through service, relationships, and action and they have grown into a national student and volunteer-driven nonprofit organization. They will receive a $15,000 general operating grant and 40 hours of consulting services from Social Venture Partners Minnesota.

International Breast Milk Project was named first runner up; Marnita's Table, MicroGrants, and the Minnesota Shubert Performing Arts and Education Center received honorable mentions.
